Summary: Before Jason ever went down in the sub and ended up in Atlantis, he was told he was dying. Once he knows the truth he only really wants one thing: to find out what happened to his Dad before it's too late. Ending up in Atlantis was never really part of the plan, but it happened and now he has thrown himself into life here as best he can. He risks his life far more than he should because he really doesn't see a problem with it; after all he's already dying so what does it really matter if he gets killed? Better him than one of his friends after all. For a long time he manages to hide his illness from everyone around him; almost manages to convince himself that the diagnosis didn't really happen - or that the doctors got it wrong. When things start to go wrong though and he suddenly finds himself getting much worse, how will the people that know and love him best react to the news? And just how far will they all go to save his life - whether Jason wants it or not?
