Our tenth round at smallfandombang has come to an end! I’d like to thank everyone who participated this year and helped make this round a huge success. Whether you were an author or an artist, a beta or a cheerleader, or a someone who left a comment, your participation is appreciated.

In particular I’d like to thank the several artists who stepped up and took on the task of creating artwork for more than one story, and especially those artists who took chances on fandoms they weren’t familiar with. You have my heartfelt thanks.

For those keeping track, we had 17 stories and/or art created in 19 different fandoms (including crossovers) this round! Beneath the cut you’ll find links to all the stories and accompanying artwork. If you haven’t already checked them out, enjoy! *g*

A-Team, The (movie)

Hiding Low, Looking Right to Left by glitterfics (Face/Murdock; NC17)
Summary: A year after the L.A. Docks, the team managed to find a small rural town where they could actually stop running for a little while and re-group. However, it becomes clear that the town is under siege by a ruthless businessman and the more they look into him, the worse he gets. The Team definitely need to do something about this guy and so get to work on a plan.

Of course, Hannibal’s plan involves Face and Murdock pretending to be a couple which further complicates things because Murdock has been acting a little skittish recently and also because the pretending doesn’t feel very much like pretending.

Blindspot (tv)

Summary: After Patterson is left at the altar, she convinces Tasha to go on the honeymoon with her. As they board the cruise ship, they meet new friends while Tasha realizes that hiding her feelings for Patterson is next to impossible.

Bad Moon a-Risin’ by persnickett (John/Matt; R)
Summary: In which there just might be what some would call a Bad Moon on the Rise. And in which some people might be living double lives, but not in the way you might think. But in which John is definitely, absolutely, one hundred percent not cursed.


Grave Robbers' Chronicles, The | Daomu Biji (Xu Lei)

The Zhang Identity by merinnan & xantissa (Zhang Qiling/Wu Xie, Zhang Qiling & Wang Pangzi, Zhang Qiling & Liu Sang; NC17)
Summary: Zhang Qiling woke up in hospital with a collection of injuries, no ID, no memory, and nowhere to go until Wang Pangzi, the cop who'd rescued him, offered to take him in and to help him find out who he was and where he came from. With nothing to go on, not even a hint of a mention in any files, it looked like it was going to be a futile effort until Zhang Qiling began helping Pangzi out on some murder cases. As the investigation unfolded, it became apparent that not only would someone do anything to stop it - including trying to kill them both - but that the murders all seemed to be connected to Zhang Qiling's past and to Wu Xie, the man he'd recently met and become inexplicably attached to.

Hercules, the Legendary Journeys (tv)

Too Many Mortals and Not Enough Heroes by agentmoppet (Atalanta/Aphrodite, Salmoneus/Autolycus; PG13)
Summary: Aphrodite is restless, bored, and nothing in her divine repertoire of pleasures seems to be scratching the itch. Probably because of that thing she doesn't want to admit. That thing that is pure shame to a goddess of love. That thing that starts with L and rhymes with only. Lonely. She's lonely, okay? And nothing will fix it.

She has no idea how teaming up with a sexy blacksmith, the self appointed best salesman in Greece, and the (absolutely not self appointed) king of thieves will solve the problem, but apparently that's what she's doing.

Oh, and they're going to track down the Mirror of Thebes to find her soulmate.

Urgh. Mortals.

Hydlide Series (games)

Fairy Ring by tehexile (Jim; PG13)
Summary: The second part of a novelisation of Virtua Hydlide, covering the beginning of the Vampire's Mansion to the end of the Volcanic Cave, culminating in the battle with the Dragon. This interpretation links the story with flashbacks to previous Hydlide games.

A swordsman called Jim wakes up to find himself alone in a mysterious world with little to no memory of his past. Following a path that some Fey being seems to be leading him upon, he uncovers secrets of the world, built deliberately by someone who abandoned it, while triggering his own memories, as well as visions of previous worlds that he can see through the eyes of a Godlike creator and an enigmatic fairy.

Inspector Morse (tv)/Rivers of London (Ben Aaronovich)

The Fields of Thrasymene by elaiel (Inspector MorseRobert Lewis (Morse & Lewis)Harold Postmartin; R)
Summary: The body of a student found in the Oxford canal quickly becomes a puzzle for Detective Inspector Morse and Sergeant Lewis. Geoffrey Stanfield was a quiet, studious, postgrad student with no real enemies, flaws or even bad habits. Why was he killed and his room burgled?

Were the overheard arguments with an unknown student tied into his death and what is the significance of the books stolen from his room? Who was his girlfriend Annie and why has she also gone missing?

With a postmortem providing almost as many questions as answers, Morse and Lewis will have their work cut out unraveling the clues and trying to understand why such an unassuming young man was killed and by whom.

Summary: Callen and his team join up with Detectives Bosch and Edgar to work a serial killer case.

Scarlet Bound Titanium: Near and Far by pairatime (Ryan/Carter; PG13)
Summary: Ryan has left Mariner Bay to hunt for a way to end Queen Bansheera and the demon’s once and for all with Kris at his side. Meanwhile Carter holds the fort while learning more about the powers he has and what they can do.

Shannara Chronicles, The (tv)

Nothing Like The Things We Had by sultrybutdamaged (Eretria & Wil Ohmsford, Eretria/Lyria, Past Eretria/Amberle/Wil Ohmsford; PG13)
Summary: Eretria and Wil are rare items procurers, the best in the business, partners and friends. But after a job that took them to places they never intended to go, they're at a low point in their relationship. Then they find themselves taking a job for the King of Arborlon, rescuing his kidnapped fiance, and maybe fixing the things that have gone wrong in their own lives in the process.

Princess Lyria, meanwhile, intends to rescue herself.

Summary: Ben is slowly becoming more and more aware of his feeling toward Bryant, feelings that go beyond those for a friend or mentor. But what will happen when those lines are crossed? Just who will they be and how will they move forward?

Star Trek (tie-in novels)

The Misadventures of Ensign Munker, Space Lawyer by melime (Munker, Ramona Placer;Munker, Ramona Placer; R)
Summary: When ensign Munker graduated first of her class in Starfleet law school, she assumed that would mean a good assignment. Instead, she's placed in the worst ship on the fleet for a space lawyer: the USS Enterprise. There, she has to deal with being mostly ignored by everyone, including the captain, who has a tendency to take General Order One as more of a suggestion. Spending most of her assignment being on the sidelines of the action and dealing with the aftermath of deaths and legal violations, she finally snaps when seeing that the captain's plan might result in a war, instead placing herself in harm's way, and in the process drawing attention to her traumatic past that still guiding her actions and morals.

Terror, The (tv)

The Space of a Year by smaragdbird (Jopson/Crozier, Hickey/Gibson; PG13)
Summary: When Francis Crozier moves to his new research posting in the north of Scotland, he has to move in with his research assistant Jopson because the housing situation is dire. And because he had assumed he would move in with his girlfriend Sophia, who broke up with him shortly before the move

Trying to move on, Francis tries to integrate into his new environment, helped by Jopson and his old friend Thomas Blanky. Not easy when your boss is the uncle of your ex-girlfriend.

In his first year up north Francis has not only to deal with the pitfalls of academia but also has a front seat to his neighbour's volatile on/off romance, trying to set up his faithful research assistant, too many social work events and and repeated tellings of the time Fitzjames was bitten by a Chinese bat.

But will he be finally able to see what was right in front of him all this time? (Spoiler alert: of course he will, this is a romance, not a tragedy).

Thick of It, The (tv)

Drunken Kisses in the Back of a Cab by fickle_obsessed (Malcolm Tucker/Original Female Character (Grey White); R)
Summary: It's time for the DoSAC Christmas party and Malcolm's lent Grey enough money to actually be able to go, whether she wants to or not is a whole other story, but just as she's about leave he turns up and gives her a reason to stay.

From there things go a bit tits up, until they don't

Summary: Eric and Sookie take matters into their own hands when they attend Bill's wedding to Portia Bellefleur.
