Our sixth round at smallfandombang has come to an end! I’d like to thank everyone who participated this year and helped make this round a huge success. Whether you were an author or an artist, a beta or a cheerleader, or a someone who left a comment, your participation is appreciated.

I’d especially like to thank our pinch-hit artists, the several artists who stepped up and took on the task of creating artwork for more than one story, and those artists who took chances on fandoms they weren’t familiar with. You have my heartfelt thanks.

For those keeping track, we had 28 stories and/or art created in 30 different fandoms (including crossovers) this round! Beneath the cut you’ll find links to all the stories and accompanying artwork. If you haven’t already checked them out, enjoy! *g*

Accelerate Me! by silent_jo (Accelerator/Female OC; NC17)
Summary: Accelerator never expected to find Kana Hanje standing at his front door today. Years had passed since that fateful day in the playground where Accelerator's Esper ability had been demonstrated with extreme force. Kana was forced to leave Academy City after the incident, but she never forgot the boy that had defended her that day.

Now, in the present, she returns to find that an 18-year-old Accelerator has put his quest for power behind him and is living a quiet life with his ward Last Order. His dark and violent past prevents him from letting anybody get too close. Summoning all her courage, Kana confesses her true feelings for him. Moved by her words, Accelerator gives in to his own desires and the two begin a journey of new experiences and emotions. But Kana isn't the only person from Accelerator's past that has come back to Academy City to confront him...

Summary: Jason knew he was ill before he ever arrived in Atlantis - knew that he was dying - but since arriving there he hasn't really felt ill. When things start to go wrong though and he suddenly finds himself getting much worse, how will the people that know and love him best react to the news? And just how far will they all go to save his life - whether Jason wants it or not?

Summary: When a practice drill awakens real feelings Doctor John Silver finds himself drawn into a complicated if satisfying relationship with both trauma surgeon James Flint and socialite Miranda Barlow that requires him to reconsider his plans and ambitions as well as his sexuality and desires.
Just as things seem perfect however a secret from Flint's past threatens to destroy the fragile balance. Devastated, Silver considers walking away and only Max's common sense might avert further tragedy. It will take a great deal of courage and honesty from all involved if they're to find a happy ever after. And then an incident at the hospital brings everything into perspective.

Call the Midwife (tv)

Answering The Call by thesmallhobbit (Delia Busby/Patsy MountBarbara Gilbert/Tom Hereward; PG)
Summary: There are many calls made on a busy midwife's life. In two weeks the inhabitants of Nonnatus House will experience many highs and lows. And for Barbara Gilbert in particular there will be the added complication of dealing with Tom's confirmation class.

Chronicles of Amber (Roger Zelazny)

Nothing False and Possible by therck (Luke | Rinaldo/Merlin; R)
Summary: Merlin searches for a way out of the cave where he's trapped. Seducing Luke seems like a potentially viable option, but it keeps getting more and more complicated.

Summary: Skeletal warrior Dem's noble sacrifice allowed another species to live that he'd never even encountered. He never expected to wake from his final resting place. But now he's been summoned to another world to find out that his quest was a set-up, his sacrifice not his own choice. He is asked by a mysterious voice to aid Great Cthulhu, of all unlikely heroes, to enact their revenge and end the tyranny of the Narrator.

Da Vinci’s Demons (tv)

The Count’s Secret by meridian_rose (Leonardo da Vinci/Girolamo Riario; PG13)
Summary: England, 1815 ; Embarrassed by the very public failure of his son's latest romantic liaison, Leonardo's father sent him on a trip to the New World, but now Leo returns to England with as much reckless enthusiasm as ever. Temporarily moving in with the de Medici household, Leo asks about the neighbouring estate, vacated by Lucrezia Donati after Leo broke off their engagement. Lucrezia's uncle has moved in, accompanied by his son, Count Girolamo Riario.

Vanessa and Nico try to warn Leo that Riario is ill company; never impolite, but not the gregarious type that Leo likes, and that there are rumours about Riario's time in Rome. Yet from the first time Leo lays eyes on Riario he's smitten.

Leo becomes determined to win Riario over. Even Leo's father can't complain if he marries a nobleman. But Riario is reluctant, rebuffing Leo's advances though it's obvious he feels the same attraction. Leo must uncover the secrets from Riario's past if they're to have a future together.

Defying Gravity (1997)

Leaving the House and Growing up by pairatime (John/Pete, Heather/Todd; PG13)
Summary: With their senior year over it's time for all the brothers of Alpha Kappa Tau to leave college. The story is made up of slices of time in those first few months, from finally parties, their last summer, first apartment and even an engagement. It’s those handful of moments that shift a person from a college kid to a grown up facing the real world.

Gattaca (1997)

Housebreaking and Hooked Agrimony by convenientalias (Irene Cassini/Jerome Eugene Morrow; pg13)
Summary: Here was what Irene knew about people who seemed to be perfect: They weren’t. If you kept all your hair neatly tied up in a bun and did your makeup just right and never allowed more emotion than was proper to shade your voice, you had something to hide. And Jerome had a far grander façade, which had to mean that he had a lot more to hide. He wasn’t like Irene; no bad genes to make up for. She had checked, stealing a hair from a comb he kept at his desk in order to keep his appearance oh-so-pristine. The 9.5 was real, so what wasn’t?

Admittedly, it wasn’t really any of Irene’s business.

Admittedly, breaking into his house to find out was probably not the best idea.

But then, Irene admittedly had never been the most sensible person.

Summary: Jude and Zero have broken up because Jude doesn’t want to hide their relationship anymore, but when Zero calls with an emergency – someone left a baby she claims is his daughter on his doorstep – Jude rushes over to help and finds himself getting sucked back into Zero’s life. Jude tries to extricate himself, but only manages to sink deeper. Will he and Zero be able to mend things, or will Jude get his heart broken again?

Summary: Jessica and Trish had terrible things happen to them during their lives, from traumatic experiences and childhood abuse to the ordeal with Kilgrave. With everything that happened, it was hard moving past their trauma and learning how to heal, but throughout their lives, they always had each other to count on.

Legend of Tarzan, The (2016)

In The Beginning by severina2001 (John Clayton/Jane Porter; PG13)
Summary: Jane Porter doesn't believe in ghosts, and when she's inexplicably drawn to the wild man who appears in her midst when she's playing with the children, she never doubts the wisdom of following her heart.


Live Free or Die Hard (2007)

A Time to Every Purpose by persnickett (Matt/John; R)
Summary: In a post-apocalyptic world beset with zombie-like creatures called Howlers, John and Matt are working as Marshals in their burgeoning settlement of survivors based in what used to be John’s home town of Brooklyn, NY. In the years since the Howler virus first struck, wiping out most of modern civilization, small communities struggle every day to rebuild their infrastructures and society.

These are the every-day struggles that happen to belong to John and Matt.


Magnificent Seven, The (2016)

Freedom is the only thing worth dying for, except maybe Love by chibifukurou (Joshua Faraday/Vasquez; PG13)
Summary: Vasquez and Faraday spent time in a military together years ago. They were lovers and talked about building a life together, but they ended up going their separate ways. Vasquez convinced that they needed to make up for their actions, and Faraday sure that if he had to watch anybody else die, he wouldn't be able to take it.

Maybe saving an entire space colony together will finally be enough of a push to get the boys to talk to each other. But I wouldn't count on it.

Man From UNCLE, The (2015)

A Hard Knight’s Work by guineamania (Illya Kuryakin/Gaby Teller; )
Summary: Napoleon Solo is King Carlton's best knight, a supposedly reformed convict serving his king until his sentence runs out. This mission is the biggest yet as Napoleon is sent to hunt down the imprisoned Anglian Princess Gabriella Teller and rescue her from her tower. However his journey across land and oceans doesn't progress as smoothly as he hoped. Napoleon meets thieves and pirates along his journey.

On the last leg he stumbles upon the Sarmatian Prince, Illya Kuryakin and they agree to a tense truce until they reach the castle and tower that Princess Gabriella was imprisoned in. During this journey they discover a kinship and fight together when the times get rough. After rescuing the princess together, a compromise is brokered to save both men from their prisons.

Summary: ate sends Go Ha Jin a thousand years in the past into the body of a previous incarnation, Hae Soo. The situation promises to be all too overwhelming until she comes across her soulmate, the reviled and cursed Fourth Prince.

But childhood dreams of a happily ever after are quickly dashed when he wants nothing to do with her. Soo is determined to root out the reasons why, but it’s not long before they’re pulled into the schemes of those who desire the throne for themselves. It’s up to Soo to protect her soulmate and she’s willing to pay any price. Prince So, however, won’t let her go that easily.
