Summary: Jack Carter and his daughter Zoe experience a pretty disastrous start to their road trip vacation when they get completely lost out in the middle of nowhere and then crash the car. They seek refuge in the nearby town of Eureka and discover a whole new world of 'peculiars' - people with extraordinary gifts, hiding from the rest of the world and, more importantly, from the monsters that hunt them. Of course, it's just Jack's luck that the monsters chose that moment to find them and he gets dragged into the town's fight for their lives, discovering his own gift along the way as well as having to cope with his intense reaction's to Eureka's stupidly handsome mayor.

Summary: When Nathan restarts the photon he ends up in another time stream but in this one he can find no evidence of Jack ever being the Sheriff of Eureka. In the meantime two serious events had befallen Eureka over the past year, causing problems for Global Dynamics in particular. Nathan had arrived in a time stream where half the state of Oregon had been declared a disaster zone following a major earthquake in what should have been a stable area. Most of the Eurekans had managed to reach Global Dynamics in time and were safe in the underground parts of the facility but, for the second time in a year, Global Dynamics was buried under tons of rubble. As he looks over the differences between his time stream and this one, Nathan realizes the major difference was the missing Jack Carter, and is surprised at how much this loss has affected him personally.

Summary:
When Jack returns from 1947 with the others he is in for a shock. Not only is he dead in this timeline, but he died in Nathan's place. As if that is not shocking enough, he learns there were secrets in Eureka beyond Section 5, and the changes emanating from their adventure back in 1947 have brought the biggest secret of all from out of the shadows.

On the other side of the equation, Jack's return has given Nathan a chance to claim a mate he thought lost to him forever. Except Nathan doesn't know if this Jack Carter has the same feelings for him as the one he lost.
