Summary: When ensign Munker graduated first of her class in Starfleet law school, she assumed that would mean a good assignment. Instead, she's placed in the worst ship on the fleet for a space lawyer: the USS Enterprise. There, she has to deal with being mostly ignored by everyone, including the captain, who has a tendency to take General Order One as more of a suggestion. Spending most of her assignment being on the sidelines of the action and dealing with the aftermath of deaths and legal violations, she finally snaps when seeing that the captain's plan might result in a war, instead placing herself in harm's way, and in the process drawing attention to her traumatic past that still guiding her actions and morals.
