With Wren's help, they go on a journey to find the ancient Guild who can help them with their dilemma using their access to millennia-old legal records and the secrets of their strange world's origin. However, the Guild itself is not necessarily benevolent, opening up the precedent case is attracting the attention of certain less human-friendly cyborgs and there is a strong possibility that the only way Ayn can make this work is to become a cyborg himself.
