SFBB02: Check-In Extension

The Check-In #1 post will remain open for one week (rather than the previously stated 72 hours) (and all future check-in posts will also remain open for one week), which means you have until early Thursday morning EST to check-in. (Those affected by Hurricane Sandy will have longer, no worries.)

So far we have received 73 out of 117 check-ins, so if you know of someone who hasn't checked in yet, please remind them!

And you're always welcome to send an e-mail to the mod account to check-in before you leave. (If it's the Jan 1 check-in, will need to know which fandom you're writing in for certain if we don't already.)

I just took a look at my diary. It's actually the hand in I'm away for. Oops. I'm sure I'll be able to find a McDonalds with free wifi. Should be no problem.

Nope. The full hand in. I'm away for the last week of March and first of April. As I say, I'll find a coffee shop or something with wifi. I don't really need an excuse to hang out in Costa coffee. It's like my sanctuary. ;)

Ah, okay. The early turn in thing still applies, but that is also near the time authors choose a posting date so you might want to make sure you're available for that, or let me know that your artist will be acting as proxy to claim a date you've both agreed on.

My artist? What's that then? You'll have to forgive me. I've never done one of these before. All I know is I need to hand in 10000 words worth of fic by April 1st.

I can't believe there exists someone in the LJ universe who hasn't been hit over the head by a gazillion big bangs!

The basic premise is, an author writes at least 10,000 words (it varies for different BBs) and then an artist creates art for their story.

Rough drafts are due on Jan 31, artists will claim stories a week after that. Once you know who your artist is it will be up to you to communicate with them, get them a copy of your story, etc, so they can create art for you.

Final drafts of both art and fic are due March 31 and the sign-up post for posting of story/art goes up on April 1 (and remains open until April 4). Posting begins on April 5.
