ModPost: Import to DW

Due to recent events on LiveJournal, I have imported this community to the already-existing mirror comm Small Fandoms Bang on DW.

If you already have an account on DW and you have claimed your OpenID account, your DW name will automatically appear on the posts attributable to you. If you have not yet claimed your OpenID account, you may do so here.

The current plan is that, beginning with our next round, Small Fandoms Bang will be run on both LJ and DW. I will make admin posts to LJ and do an import so the posts also show up on the DW comm within a few minutes (hopefully!). When it comes time to post your fic/art announcements, you may do so at either community (though you should only post to one or the other, not both). I will set up an RSS feed so that anyone who does not have a DW account but wants to follow the comm on DW so they can see all the fic/art announcements posted there may do so. A final import will be made at the end of each round.

Please note that this plan is subject to change, depending on what happens with LJ between now and Sept 1.

What do you think is going to happen on LJ between now and Sept 1?

I don't know what might happen between now and September, which is why I'm leaving my options open. The thing I think will happen eventually is LJ cracking down on fandom blogs, if not getting rid of the non-Cyrillic blogs altogether. I want to be prepared for that sort of thing.

On that last part I should be ok then since I imported everything from my LJ account to DW

*waves* Random comment but as someone who no longer uses LJ at all (and hasn't for awhile) I just wanted to express my appreciation for the time you're taking to mirror! I know a lot of people are shifting due to concerns about things getting deleted eventually or whatnot, but I think many around here are pretty happy with the side effect of more stuff being over here. So fwiw thanks and I'm super excited to see your next round start.

I've had this comm here for a while, and recently I've been using it solely to post announcements and such, but I figured now would be a good time to get off my duff and import so I could run the challenge from both comms (until I can only run it from this one, which I expect to happen at some point because LJ).
