Our ninth round at smallfandombang has come to an end! I’d like to thank everyone who participated this year and helped make this round a huge success. Whether you were an author or an artist, a beta or a cheerleader, or a someone who left a comment, your participation is appreciated.

In particular I’d like to thank the several artists who stepped up and took on the task of creating artwork for more than one story, and especially those artists who took chances on fandoms they weren’t familiar with. You have my heartfelt thanks.

Summary: John Kennex is newly back at work at the Department of Supernatural Enforcement after recovering from a coma and has been assigned a vampire partner, Dorian, much to his disgust. He and Dorian are given a case involving serial killings of vampires. As they investigate the case, John reluctantly comes to respect and like Dorian. It turns out that there is more to the murders than a simple serial killer, and John discovers that his own past is tangled up in the case.

Dragon Force (game)

Red Shift ~ Into Legendra's Shadow by tehexile (Bardal/Presto, Frest/Ramda, Vlad/Sierra, Reinhart/Uryll; PG13)
Summary: A few years after Reinhart's victory over all of Legendra, the Emperor-mage asks Bardal and Vlad to investigate a magical energy signature in the abandoned Shadow Tower. Mistakenly thinking he is summoning Frest and Ramda, the two bards accidentally summon Lokithus, the mysterious third aspect of Madruk. Lokithus persuades them to free him and they are drawn into the world of celestial battles, visiting the realms outside of Legendra and finding out where the Katmando robot was stored. In a world not meant for mortals, only the power of their love for one another and their passion for music can save the souls of Bardal and Presto.

Summary: Ryan and Carter and the rest of Lightspeed try and figure out what it means that Carter has the star power and how it get rid of it while Vypra makes plans to get it back for her Queen.

Summary: Soulmate AU. Nolan is sceptical of soulbonds until Amanda Clarke returns to the Hamptons bearing the name Emily Thorne, the name that's written on his skin. As they work to bring Victoria to justice, the only way for Emily to be free of the past, Nolan finds himself deeply in love with Emily. Even if the bond is not reciprocal, he'll risk everything for Emily's happiness, including his own life.

Realm of Uncertainty by clover71 (Lan Zhan [Lan Wangji]/Wei Ying [Wei Wuxian]; NC17)
Summary: Wei Wuxian is forced to break up with Lan Wangji, consequently dissolving their bethrotment, only to find out weeks later that he is with child and this leads to impromptu decisions of running away and leaving Lan Wangji in the dark about the baby. But can Wei Wuxian really escape his destiny?

Summary: The Fox isn't one of the most notorious Masks in Chicago—far from it. After almost a decade of cat and mouse, Aiden's getting tired of the Mask game. He's too afraid to come clean to his family or the man he's in love with, and he's too guilty about his ongoing relationship with Seraph to break it off either. When the shit hits the fan, putting his family at risk, he find himself running out of options and forced to rely on the one person he knows could fuck him over in a heartbeat.

Summary: Phi asks Junpei for a big favor: To help her interrogate her mother about her past with Free the Soul. When they dig, they reveal something Phi can’t walk away from unchanged.
